By age 26 Micah's accomplishments include the acquisition of a 62-unit hotel as well as two apartment buildings, an impressive feat that added 85 units to the portfolio in just the past 7 months. Fueled by an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and an unyielding commitment to excellence, Micah has meticulously honed expert underwriting skills. This mastery has been cultivated through training through the underwriting of over 200 properties and a total of $500M of real estate.
How Did I Get Here?
My journey into real estate started when I was 23, I had achieved the pinnacle of what my grandparents wanted for me a secure full-time job, and a 401k, with benefits. Life seemed like a smooth ride. But then came the curveball: COVID struck, and my company downsized, I was a part of that downsizing. This showed me that the W2 wasn’t the pillar of security I was sold.
Realizing that a single crisis could derail everything, I turned to real estate. Armed with determination, I dived into education – devouring books, podcasts, and YouTube videos. I toiled tirelessly for two years, flipping houses and finally making my mark with my first apartment complex. And just two months later, I syndicated another.
Through a partnership with friends, I Co-Founded Northern Lights Hospitality and purchased my first hotel. Not only did this create a steady monthly income for me, but it also generated an outstanding 18% CoC return for our investors within the first year.
My journey is one of turning adversity into opportunity through real estate. From facing job uncertainty to building pillars of income, I've come a long way.
